House of Kiro

Hi, I’m Aria, and I’m the human behind House of Kiro.

For most of my life before college, I felt like something was wrong with me. I had kink fantasies from a young age, even before I knew what sex and relationships meant. However, kink was framed as a taboo and marginal topic in the spaces I occupied, and I was confused as to why no one else felt the way I felt. 

When I went to college in Los Angeles, I sought out a kink play party on my own. Before I entered the kink “dungeon,” I was scared. I worried that the space would be dark and violent. But when I gathered up the courage to go, I found out that it was a bunch of nerdy people passionate about the same thing, all converging in a space that emphasized consent and negotiation. For the first time in my life, I felt accepted for something very central to who I am. A deep sense of belonging blossomed. I made friends with an odd but genuine group of people that night that I’m still friends with to this day. 

House of Kiro is founded on a deep desire to give back to this community, and a desire to be an active contributing member to the scene.

I approach the products I craft with a slow, deliberate approach. Considering comfort, functionality, identity expression, and aesthetic as core parts of the equation. I spend many days in the leather studio, working closely with experienced artisans to ensure every detail is right. I want the House of Kiro objects to be a dialogue between maker and wearer. I hope each piece makes you feel a little closer to yourself, just like the way I felt that very first night.
